Independent and dignified, Chows usually attache themselves to one person even though they will have affection for the whole family.

They are very intelligent but not always easy to train. They are independent thinkers and will make their own decisions if you don’t stay a step ahead of them. The Chows are usually shy and are powerful, loving, beautiful pets and they know it!

Chows make an excellent guard dog too, and when treated with love and respect, they will return it to you. Chows can be a little aggressive, and fiercely protective of their owners.
